This pretty yellow bug looks very much like a ladybug, not sure if it is. Found it on one of our newly bloomed purple orchid. Oh and spot the ant too

Stink bug (adult) - They are back - KL, Malaysia

Last year I posted some photos of stink bug nymph (Tessaratomid Pycanum rubens) and this one here is the adult version of that stink bug. It's been a while since we saw these, at one time they were loads of them but someone came along and chopped away the big plant that used to be their home, and they all disappeared or migrated elsewhere. We found a similar looking plant, (big and leafy) nearby our house and found some of these stink bugs on the reverse side of the leaves. 

For such a tiny little creature, they look pretty amazing!

Bees, Ants and Mosquitoes on Royal Palm Seeds - Malaysia

We have a huge Royal Palm tree in our hometown, and the tree bears lots of seeds and flowers that look like this (see photo). They are white/greenish in colour. They are a favorite of bees, ants and it seems even mosquitoes.

Different orchid species - KL, Malaysia

Saw so many beautiful orchids when we visited the garden centre last week. Was tempted to buy them all for the house! Enjoy the photos.
